James Arthur Root III was the Class of 2016 Valedictorian. He was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated with the Scholars Designation. James completed 52 credit hours as a dual enrollment student at Valencia State College. He has received the Bright Futures Scholarship as well as the American Legion Scholarship. He is three classes short of his Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree, which he will complete in the fall before transferring to the University of Central Florida where he will major in computer science and engineering.
