Enrollment Information

Hello Prospective Families,

The enrollment lottery for the 2026-2027 school year has been completed! Emails have been sent to all applicants. If you haven't received an email, please check your spam or junk folder. Thank you for your interest in our school!

Open Enrollment begins March 1, 2026. Any applications submitted after March 7th will not be placed in the lottery but will be put on a waiting list after the lottery list.

You can apply online or you can download and print out a paper copy of the application and drop it off. If you applied between March 1st – March 7th your chances in the lottery are the same.

You will need to fill out an application form for each of your children, if applicable. Listing additional children on the application form does not input them in the lottery. You must apply for each child individually.

Only 2026-2027 Applications will be accepted for the 2026-2027 school year.

ONLY 2026-2027 APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR. ALL OTHER APPLICATIONS WILL BE RETURNED.

Your decision to apply to Hope Charter School or Legacy Charter High School should be an informative one. They are "Schools of Choice" and may not be the best choice for every child. By law, Controlled Open Enrollment allows applicants from other districts to apply to any public school; however, the law states that those who reside in the home district will receive preference for available openings at home district schools. Students entering Kindergarten must be 5 before September 1st.

When you are filling out the application forms, please remember that you must complete every section and must be accurate in all information provided. Any information that is left out or is inaccurate can result in the application being voided.

Registration forms are valid only for the school year indicated on the forms. You may not use them to apply for future years. Waiting lists are determined by grade level. If there are no openings available during the current school year, you must re-apply for the next school year. Waiting lists do not carry over from one school year to the next.

Enrollment capacity is determined by state law. K through 3rd grade sections may have no more than 18 students; 4th through 8th grade sections may have no more than 22 students; and 9th through 12th grade sections may have no more than 25 students in a core course section. However, some courses in the higher grade levels may have less than the maximum number of students in a section because they are electives. The total number of students allowed at the Hope/Legacy campus has been determined by city permitting.

Open Enrollment is held each year from March 1 through March 7. Applications for the lottery must be submitted online and received no later than 11:59pm on March 7. If you do not have access to a computer, a printed application will be accepted. Paper applications must be received by the school no later than the end of workday on March 7. To submit a printed application, please print and complete the registration form, then drop it off at the Hope Front Office between the hours of 9am and 2pm weekdays. To drop off paper applications after-hours, please leave in the white mailbox located outside Hope Office to the right of the double-glass doors.

DEADLINES: Paper applications must be received by the schools no later than the end of the work day on March 7. Online applications must be submitted no later than 11:59pm on March 7. All applications received after March 7th will be placed on the waitlist. Applications are not accepted through email or fax. The schools are not responsible for lost or corrupted information.

Please use the correct form for the grade level for which you are applying, and complete ALL sections accurately. An incomplete application will be returned for correction. An application that contains inaccurate or missing information could jeopardize a student's enrollment possibility.

Remember that Hope and Legacy are Schools of Choice. If you choose to accept an opening if it is offered, you will be asked to commit to supporting the schools' policies including uniform, nutrition, discipline and civility as well as academic and attendance.

The new application for the 2026 - 2027 School Year will not be available until 8:00 AM March 1, 2026.
