Do the schools have a child welfare policy as required by state statutes?
Yes, the policy can be found here - Child Welfare Policy
What is a 504? What is an IEP?
A 504 is a plan that describes the accommodations that the school will provide to support the student's education. The team that determines the student's eligibility for Section 504 and identifies the needed accommodations will write the accommodation plan. Section 504 does not require a written plan to provide clarity and direction to the individuals delivering services or making accommodations. Accommodations are changes in how a student is taught or tested. Accommodations do not change the requirements of a course or the standards the student must meet.
An IEP (Individual Educational Plan) is a written plan that describes the individual learning needs of a student with disabilities and the ESE services, supports, aids and accommodations and modifications that will be provided to that student.
An example of the two: A 504 might require extra time when testing whereas an IEP would give specific guidelines for using learning strategies in the daily classroom situation.
Where can the statute requirements be found that cover the issues of the schools' academic performances and annual grades, the schools' annual budgets, the schools' annual audit, the names of the board members, and the minutes of the board meetings?
