School Virus Policy

SCHOOL CLOSURE UPDATES! 

Parents, Students, and Families, 

First of all, we miss seeing everyone and hope each of you is healthy and doing well at home.  

During school closure due to Covide-19 Hope and Legacy teachers have moved to Distance Learning starting Monday, March 30.  For 7th - 12th grade students, all teachers have updated their website with instructions on how to complete classwork until we return to school on April 15.  To access teacher websites, please follow the directions.  1. Go to hopecharter.org  2. On the blue bar, click on Academics and Staff  3. Drop down to Staff Directory  4. Scroll down until you see your teachers name  5. Click on the web address link by the globe.  Students need to go to each of their teacher's websites to access information for their scheduled classes.  It is imperative that students check their teacher's websites daily to keep up with their schoolwork.    

All teachers have posted office hours on their website.  This time is set aside for students to contact them if they have questions or difficulty completing assigned work. 

All students have been assigned an email address; firstname.lastname@hopecharter.org.  The password is hopekids (all one word and lowercase letters).  If your child already had a hopecharter email address, they will need to use the new password (hopekids), and they will be prompted to change it when they log in.  Please have your student use this email address when contacting teachers.  If your child is having any email issues, please email sandra.orris@hopecharter.org. 

Students are not allowed to come into the building while our school is closed.  With that being said, teachers have uploaded all needed material to their website so students can successfully complete their assignments. 

In regards to events,  the Golf Tournament has been canceled and all Athletic events are canceled through April 15.  All other events are being monitored and we will continue to provide updates.
