Homework

Every week your child will come home with a Homework Pack.

It will usually be sent home on Fridays (but occasionally on Mondays) and it will be due the following Friday.

Please be sure your child completes The Homework Pack entirely.

• 2 Articles of KidBiz and Accountability Form filled out (unless not included)
• 2 Lessons TTM (Think Through Math) and Accountability Form filled out (unless not included)
• 15 Minutes of Quizlet (or Writing Assignment)

Occasionally there will be a writing prompt included in the Homework Pack. Please be sure your child reads all instructions for the writing section. Please double check that your child actually writes the essay (at least 3 paragraphs) on the lined paper attached to the homework pack. I do not mind if you give them guidance as they write (I highly encourage your assistance and involvement), but the essay MUST be written in their own handwriting.

Think Through Math: Requires each TTM lesson to be completed along with the "homework accountability forms". Please note that you must initial next to each lesson to certify that they completed the lesson and you double checked to make sure they filled out the form completely and correctly. 

Kid Biz: Article including the before reading poll, article, activity, and after reading poll. Please be sure your child completely fills out the "homework accountability form" for each lesson of Kid Biz as well. Parents must also initial each Page to certify that all of the information on the page is correct. 

I know I'm requesting lots of initials in the homework, but I feel that it is needed to hold each child accountable to completing their work correctly and completely. Also note that they will be receiving a grade for Kid Biz and TTM weekly. Thank you for your help in reminding your child to take their time and read through all of the questions before picking their answer.

The grade for Computer Homework will be the lessons for that week averaged together. If your your child did not get at least 88% on any computer assignment, your child may choose to do additional articles or lessons to try to bring their averaged grade up.

The homework pack does not need to be turned in everyday once some work is done, please keep & turn in on Friday.
