Homework

Second graders are expected to read 20 minutes each night in a book of their choosing. Research has shown daily independent reading to be one of the most important factors in predicting student success in school. Please encourage your child to read daily and ask questions about what he/she is reading!

Daily homework usually consists of two math worksheets, one facts and one concepts, and a spelling packet they are to complete one page of each night. In addition, students will be expected to complete at least 20 minute total of a computer program during the course of the week (i.e. Lexia, KidBiz). If you do not have access to the internet at home, please let me know and I will make other arrangements for your student.
