Homework

We will not have homework the first week of school.  Please check your child's planner each evening for important notes about upcoming homework.

NOTE: See planner each night in case homework is modified

Students may access their new vocabulary words on Quizlet.com.  They should be studying their new vocabulary words Mon- Thurs with the Flashcards on Quizlet for homework credit in order to prepare for a vocabulary test each Friday.  Dojos will be awarded to the top three students in the Matching Game on Fridays. 

 

Nightly Reading Homework:

Pleaes have your child read independently for 20 minutes each evening.  After your child reads, please write the title of the book and the pages read in your child's planner.  Please sign the planner to indicate that your child has read at least 20 minutes.  If this writing is in the planner your child will get credit for reading homework and earn a dojo.

Math Homework:

Math homework should be checked each evening by parent and signed to show that it has been reviewed for accuracy.  See planner each evening for specific homework lesson.  Note: your child should be coming home with very little math homework to complete as we will give them ample time in class.
