Before and After Care Reminders

Please Note: Whether you sign up for before or aftercare or not, if your child is on campus unattended, they will be placed with the care staff and there will be a charge. Please read this communication thoroughly to educate yourself on times affecting your child.

There is No Charge for BEFORECARE IF:

The 7^th or 8^th grader arrives with a high school student between 7:00 and 7:30a.m.

The 7^th or 8^th grader arrives with an elementary student between 8:00 and 8:30a.m.

The 7^th or 8^th grader arrives no earlier than 9:00 a.m. if their day begins with a third period class or 9:45 a.m. if their day begins with a 4^th period class.

Students arriving at any time not specified above will be charged for before care at the rate of $10.00 per week no matter how many days this occurs. Siblings of high school students may only attend before care free of charge if they arrive with their high school sibling. If the high school student arrives before 7:30 without the middle school student, the middle school student must wait until 15 minutes before their morning class begins to arrive or there will be a charge.

Before Care Schedule

K-6^th 7:00-8:00 a.m.

7^th-8^th 7:00-9:45 a.m.

9th-12^th 7:00-7:15 a.m.

There is NO CHARGE for After Care IF:

The student is picked up with a sibling during a later dismissal time. (High School students with either middle or elementary school siblings may stay without charge until their sibling is dismissed.)

After Care Schedule

K-8^th 3:45-6:00 p.m.

9^th-12^th 2:45-6:00 p.m.

Students not picked up by the end of their dismissal time will be in After Care. They will be charged $35.00 per week. For one or two days, the charge will be $10.00 per day.

Students who are not picked immediately after any Intensive class, any extra curricular activity or detention will be placed in After Care. They will then need to be signed out from the after care room and the parent will be charged either $1.00 per minute or $10.00 for the day. Students will not be permitted to be on campus unattended.

After Care will be held in room 114 in the Legacy building until 5:30 p.m. when students will be consolidated with K-6^th in the Hope building. Students must be signed out of this room by their parent or guardian before leaving.

Payment must be received in advance on Monday for the current week.  Late fees must be paid in cash at time of pick up to school personnel.  Failure to pay Extended Day fees when due may result in loss of Extended Day use as well as re-enrollment for the following school year.  IMPORTANT:  This is a service the school wants to provide to help parents.  However, when parents do not pay on time, it becomes a financial burden for the school...one which the school cannot afford.  We do not want to reach the point where we must discontinue this service; therefore, it is imperative that everyone who uses the Extended Day service understands and accepts their financial responsibility.

After Care children will have a snack time.  Please include an afternoon snack for your child.  After Care providers will not supply snacks.

Any child who is a behavior problem will be removed from after care.  We do not have the staff to tend to children on an individual basis.

Parents are required to sign their child in and out of Extended Day Care EVERYDAY.  This must be done by an adult.  A brother/sister may not sign a child into or out of Extended Day, unless the brother/sister is an adult (21+) and authorized to sign by the parent.
